I've just brought my wellies in from the shed to warm up indoors.  This is something I do at the beginning of every winter, but it's the first time the beginning of winter has occurred in March!

Meanwhile on the BBC website, in spite of the weather warnings about heavy snow causing all manner of disruption, the actual local forecast hasn't admitted to any snow at all - only sleet.  Maybe snow is too white for the BBC, white being politically incorrect nowadays.  Maybe sleet is better at meeting their diversity targets.

I have been for a wander around with my snow shoes....a pair I have had for years, bought from Canada....makes walking on snow like cheating! First time I have used them for a few years...

Hope it's a long time before you use them again, snow! can't stand the stuff, it has absolutely no benefits to it. When that hits the floor the whole country grinds to a halt............I think we ought to ban it.
