Unrest in our Village
« on: October 09, 2016, 03:03:02 PM »
There is for the first time rumblings of unrest about the Labour Controlled Parish Council.

Now TBH I haven't needed their services as two access issues I sorted myself direct with Rykneld Homes who  I have to say were brilliant and moved things very quickly.

Before we went away in September there was a vote coming up for a District Councillor and a Lib Dem Candidate got the post  :-?
I think it made the news on TV.

We now have two seats going on the Parish Council and two Lib Dems are fighting very hard for those seats one being the newly elected Cllr They are already holding surgeries each month.

Voting day is next week, its getting very interesting in our village - will for the first time to my knowledge our parish council not ALL be Labour!

Maybe they should be given a chance.
A complacent safe labour seat no more - see what the other guys have to offer :)

There have been some Lib Dem signs removed from peoples properties we are told - no proof who has taken them off though -  ::)

Lib Dems got both seats on our Parish Council!
The taking down of signs, nasty phone calls etc didn't work - they will get on with helping the village now.

Have to say I can't ever remember our Parish council not being all Labour.
