Calais Immigrants
« on: July 31, 2015, 10:07:13 AM »
This is getting out of hand.

The French blame the British as they claim the businesses like to employ the migrants and also claim the Government is also to blame as they refuse to bring in identity cards?

Meanwhile the Dublin Convention states that migrants are supposed to claim asylum in the first EU country they reach and have helped migrants by setting up a camp in readiness for their departure to the UK?

All very messy and not much actually being done to sort out this mess.

Isn't it the fact that the French don't officially accept the migrants, therefore the first country that does is the UK ?
As soon as the migrants land here, the UK acepts them, then either sends them home or decided wether to let them stay.
France just pass the buck by letting them camp there and don't even ask them for ID in the first place.
I may be wrong  ;)

If that is the case Fly then they are breaking the Dublin Convention, what are they going to do about it though.

It seems to have gone quiet at the moment, but I did hear something about landlords who are renting properties to illegal immigrants are to be prosecuted and the immigrants have to be evicted - where to?
