Noticed that the Royal Oak at Old Tupton has become a bikers pub, nice addition to the biker trail with the CMC at Clay Cross and Matlock Bath. Any budding bikers out their?

I've seen the bikes parked up in the car park as well - W C Tell.
Wasn't sure if it was club gathering?
There were also a lot of cars parked there at one time but i notice they have gone now - but there are lots parked on the opposite side of the road, so maybe the men working on the building site have been warned off???

Bikers View was run from a private house at Mickley with the back garden overlooking Ogston reservoir. They took part in charity events and estate litter picks, one sponsored event was a ride from Matlock Bath wearing a mankini ! They also sold breakfasts with proceeds going to charity. Unfortunately this lead to them falling foul of planning laws, or an excuse to get at them due to a complaint (not from immediate neighbours) and restrictions were put on the number of visitors etc. I think there may also be a pending court case. I understand they moved to the Royal Oak rather than have all the hassle.
