RAF fly past May 10 for VE Day
« on: May 02, 2015, 10:16:23 PM »
I can't share this on face book but --

May 10th A fly past is planned by the  RAF from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Douglas Dekota

At 1.20 Sunday May 10th 2015.
Flying south to north.
Down Green Lane towards the War Memorial.

There's a street party on that day and the flight is set to take place during this.

The war memorial in Tupton is outside ST John's Church and opposite the Junior school.

The aircraft ran two hours late due to fog in Guernsey.
The sun was out as it flew over the village three times and we did find it hard to see to take photo's - anyway we got these  ;)

Well done, nice shots  :)
Glad we didn't drive to Tupton for the fly past. I hate delays  ;)

Only two left in the world.

There are many, many more than that. I've seen three so far this year: BBMF, one at Coventry and another at Schiphol.

I went back home as I had a joint of Beef in the oven ( better than a bun any day  ;) ).
So - I turned the oven up to finish cooking it before going back for the fly over.
