I've been asked today if I knew of it. Yes I do always had a bottle in the pantry, brilliant for tummy problems.
Anyone know where I can buy it these days?

We always had some in the pantry too, and like OC says, it was brilliant for tummy upsets and very soothing for 'ladies tummy aches'.

I've never thought about it for years, so I'm also wondering where it could be bought.  Have you asked at the Chemists OC?  The pharmacist might have some ideas being as it was designed for medicinal purposes.

Mind you I think you'd need to find a pharmacist who was getting on a bit as I imagine the younger end will look at you 'gone out'!   :))

I used to buy it from our village shop Gerty - that has now gone.
I did ask in Boots a few years ago and was told
'No we are not allowed to sell it as it has got Brandy in' !!!!

I was speechless -
Will have to check around some of the small village shops which are still around, although I have seen it online but for what it costs it hardy seems worth it.
