Just saw this - fantastic picture.

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Well, it's there now, ( unless the scrap lads come in the dead of night with their  blow - torches) so I guess we should embrace it.
I think the lighting improves it. I still hope it doesn't cause any distraction to drivers on what can be a difficult roundabout at the best of times.

Cracking photo  :)  (y)
My only gripe as such was the road closures when they started the work. They weren't needed.

How long were the roads closed for?

Scuse my bad. Lane closures. Lasted a good couple or so weeks, annoying to say the least.

The photo shows it off to good effect. Can only assume it's on a long exposure because the reality is nowhere near that bright.

I like it in the day when its not lit - I don't think it needs lighting to make it look good.

@Jon - I don't know who or how they got that shot - and I don't care - it's brilliant, and shows off the gateway to Chesterfield with style.

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

I'm hopeing just that some scrap thief's take a liking to that hint.

What would you have put on the roundabout?

Nothing it will look great now but in years to come it wouldn't look so good who's paying for the maintenance for it and can they afford it?
