I remember walking home from school C1981, only time I've ever experienced wind that bad.

Crikey, that was bad wasn't it??

I recall being on holiday in Scarborough with the kids when they were little when a howling gale started.  We walked round a corner and the kids were blown off their feet, and I was hanging on to some railings and couldn't move!  Thankfully Mr Gert managed to pick the kids up and take them to safety.  I had to fend for myself!  ::)

Typical of the Mr's gerty  :))

I don't think I could stand up in that wind, as we get older some of our body strength goes.
We nipped into Clay Cross the other day when we had the strong winds and at one point I was going in a direction I didn't want to go.
