To be serious, it depends on what you want doing - Aspire Gates have welders employed for their manufacture of gates/railings, maybe one option.

Think we used Aspire for our double gates and daughters come to think of it. Are they the company who put a coating on the gates so they never need painting?

Big prob with daughters footplates which are plastic.

Really could do with a clever chap who can maybe put a metal plate over them

Just one of my brain waves not sure if it's possible but last month payed out £300 for two new ones - and one has cracked today whilst we have been in town.
Peed off with it TBH  >:(

Why don't you ring the company and complain ,they should at least replace the item ,then explain how you want a stronger metal one they may just make you one .

Apologies folks I put £300 that was the sum total of all work done the footplates were £75 each

Just for the record, I saw OC's post Friday afternoon whilst at work and told her via text msg I knew welders.

Saw your daughter in town today, but didn't feel too comfortable with going over to look at her feet in the chair.
Might have looked a bit strange LOL
I don't think it would be too much of a problem for a welder to attatch alloy plates from another chair to the steel.
These would probably be spot on.

Sorry Fly just not got around to taking the photo yet.

Thanks for the link, she's actually had a wheelchair with footplates like those and they were brilliant.
Problem is she's only a shorty pants and all wheelchairs are a tad high for her to just sit it without having to try and push herself back or push on the footplates.

I'm sure she wouldn't have minded you looking at the footplates.

I will take that photo!!

Hence my link to those plates. The 'steel' part could be cut shorter to suit her height/leg length  :)

Don't they fold up, most types do. Just a matter of welding at the right angle for clearance to the chair and for foot placement when in it. The plates are alloy. You can't weld them. The steel down poles can be welded though  :)

They do Fly and swing back - also need to be lifted off the chair when we put it in the car
