Paranormal activity
« on: October 29, 2013, 08:10:41 PM »
Can't give too much away, but a close by neighbour of ours came round tonight to see us, wanted to know the name the late previous occupier. They say he's been causing disruption, throwing things around, smashing things, opening windows whilst they are out and sitting talking to their young daughter at all hours of the night. The daughter says she's scared and thinks the man might hurt her.
They've asked us to keep an eye on their house. They're moving out for a while. Scared  :o

The man they are asking about did indeed pass away, but he had already flitted prior to passing away. Why would he come back to terrorise the current occupiers. His mum had had the property for 30+ years before she passed away leaving him in the house alone.
The first people who lived there after he flitted never had a problem.

I found it quite amusing, they were serious, and have moved out  :-?

Ok, if this is serious and it is an original tenant even though they didn't pass away whilst living there it could well just mean he was just very happy whilst living there.

Not something I speak of much, but I do 'believe' and that is from my own experiences.

I didn't go looking for anything.

After these experiences we went to live in a very old stone coaching house - we had a lady 'living' with us.
Neither of us mentioned 'things' for quite awhile, but eventually it had to be discussed and we were both surprised that 'the other' also knew of this lady.
I never felt afraid - well only once.
My partner a non believer actually saw her (I never did).
He described her to neighbours who had lived next door for years.
They immediatley identified who she was from his description.

I must say though that we never encountered things ike you mentioned - that's paltergeist !!

Now you'll think I'm even more of a looney  ;D

The day my Mum died (23/07/12), shortly after a relative of my Mums partner knocked on my door to tell me she'd passed away - bearing in mind she died in Marmaris, Turkey.
As I was on holiday from work, and on my own in the house I started to clean up. Moving small empty bottles of empty beer off the dining table, which as I did so, made the same noise as you do when blowing over the top with pursed lips. Proper scared me that.
A belting message (in my head) telling me to clean a baby photo of myself as a baby (Dusty) on top of a cabinet in my house.
As I continued to "clean up", keeping myself busy, knowing Mum had died, in Turkey etc, etc, it was a calm day - no wind.
My Wife put 3 empty bottles of liquid conditioner, and washer detergent on our window sill by the back door - which was already open. as soon as I approached the "open" back door to put these items in the bin, all 3 bottles threw themselves on the ground - as I said - no wind at all.
I'd only had a couple of "unexplained" encounters prior to this, just seemed too many coincidences on the day Mum died - and her body was thousands of miles away.

Fact Fly.
My feet are firmly on the ground with this and I'm not too convinced by 'Paltergeist activity' to be honest

Mine began in between Christmas and New year period years before the 'lady' I spoke of it was to do with my grandfather who I was extremely close to.

I will zip on to my time living in an old listed cottage, this is the time I got scared:

The time I was frightened - the 'lady' we were told by locals was named Alice - ALICE who the @@@@ is ALICE erhum sorry back on topic.

Alice used to bake bread regularly in the original kitchen at the back of the cottage we used it as a store room and washing machine was in there, but it still had the old fire oven in, sink, etc - the cat wouldn't go in there  :-?
Anyway Alice would also make toast (we used to smell it regularly) and sometimes burn the toast by the smell of it.
The bathroom was downstaires, and one night early hours I needed to use it.
Slowly coming out of sleep it lodged in my brain that I could smell the toast - burning again! Only the smell got stronger and stronger until I just knew the smell was right at the side of me whilst in bed.
Tell you now I didn't open my eyes (was busting to 'go') but went down as low as I could under the duvet so I was just able to get some air. I eventualy fell asleep, thank goodness.
Zipping on to more recent years I have seen orbs - only didn't know what I was seeing until I watched a Tv programme.
The orbs used to be in the lounge about the door into the dining room I used to sit on the sofa and keep blinking, looking away and rubbing my eyes (thought it was me eyes folks. Then one night whilst in the bath the two orbs were in the bathroom only moving around.
I spoke to someone I know who is into that kind of thing and she said if you ask them to show themselves they might.
Not bloody likely  :-?

Just a couple of instances to share with you.

Sounds as if your mum was playing tricks on you scimitar - wanting you to realise she was still around you even if she was in spirit.
I hope you took that to heart and welcomed her saying hello don't be too sad cos I'm still here even if you can't see me

I am still around lol ;)

The problems that fly has described is a classic description of someone not knowing they have died or who loved a house where lots of changes are being made...I can describe it best by referencing a film 'the others' with nicole kidman.  If you haven't seen it, it is pretty much exactly the same as is being said above :)

Imagaine you are living quite happily in your home and all of a sudden these people come into your home and start to move things and move their own stuff in...You shout at them and tell them to stop but they don't seem to hear you...so you start trying to move things to get their attention...This could be one of those instances so its more or less a cry for help than anything else

Hi mate, glad your still around.
Why do you think he never bothered the first occupants, even though he had flitted and passed away in his new bought home.
Just for the record, the lass and her small young daughter are back in the house today.
Single mother, just wonder if something spooked her the once. ?

It could be something that spooked her the once.  The first occupants may not have made many changes.. Do you know if they have made lots of changes? it could also be that the first occupants just never mentioned it :)

I would ask how they know it is the previous occupant thought

After he left, the council put new doors, kitchen and heating system in the house. Then it was totally decorated from top to bottom. Plenty of changes.
The first occupants after he left was a young couple with two young kids, they used to do nothing but argue. Perhaps they never heard him above themselves or he couldn't get a word in  :))
I think the new occupant is just using him as an excuse.

Then i would think it probably isn't the previous occupant.  Do you know roughly how old the mum is? It could be something that has been attracted to her or it could be someone she knew when they were here who is wanting to get a message to her.  We had an investigation recently where the ghost was someone who knew the householder in life and just wanted them to get their life sorted..it could be something like that.

I'll pass this info onto the forum as I want to see the response. The lass in question is about 21/22. Daughters 3?
