Can't see that Kenty - maybe I'm looking at the wrong image. What does it say in the Image details to the right of the photo?

The Market Hall and Market Place Chesterfield 1938
3 rows down and 2nd from left.
you can see,in the background, what is now Park Road with the Bridge running over it. (top left of Photo)

Gotcha! Yes it is a rail turntable but I think it is just behind the Hollis and Brommel building.

Previewed my post and didn't 'Post' it. Bugger   :(
Didn't know there was a bridge at the bottom of Park Rd.
So what's the building the other side of the turntable ? Wouldn't that be Park Rd end of Boythorpe Avenue.
My eyes say the Hollis and Brommel building was is hidden or not there by the Ragged School.

Dam Photo keeps changing places !.
I know somebody who is trying to get further photos of that railway line, in particular
any pictures between the station and horns bridge.

Hollis and Brommel was a shoe warehouse/shop.
The little building to the left was a sweet shop.
