Did your bro tell you we had a workplace visit from some of the senior councillors?

He spoke to hubby yesterday I didn't see him but he did say something about the price of  'pot holes' going up  ;D
He tells me so much Slacker - I hear a person very high up has gone?

Moving from Chesterfield council  - did you see Who wants to be a Millionaire a couple of weeks ago where the contestants job was to go round checking the grass cutting - mad to me and a waste of money.

Probably a simplified version of what the job actually is. Didn't catch a name did you?

No idea what his name was sounding like a Liverpool accent from what I remember - we just thought it was an over spending on his councils part to be honest.
Checking if the mowers had put stripes in the grass maybe  ::)

What do you think of this?
Good idea do you think to give anyone a chance to go along and voice concerns ask questions about what's going on.
Thinking of the Queens Park/leisure centre debate it would have been useful to have had this option.

To a certain extent but councillors (guided by professional officers) have to have the final say where there are budget considerations. On the subject of the leisure centre the only viable option is the partnership agreement which would not happen in an out-of-date existing centre. There is a public consultation about what people want in the centre.
