Same here Pete - but don't you think that the younger end who are against her have been brought up with this dislike from their families?
This happens in all cultures and for different reasons - only have to look at Northern Ireland

Agree OC - and much as I disliked her, I think there is a time stop holding grudges and move on - otherwise we will become a nation at war with itself over a million fall-outs through the ages.

What number did Ding Dong get to? Heard some bits of the chart show on next door's radio in the garden so don't think it got to one.

They didn't chicken out. IMHO  :(

They tried to be respectable to a person who's persona didn't quite fit to some people's ideal.
Maggie still had family. Respect to them.
Yes, I'm an ex miner, but I'm trying to be diplomatic with my view for the members of the forum.
I'm all for free speech, slagging her off as a person makes me feel guilty.
She stood there and backed every policy the Tory party decided on.
How did she live with that ?

Does this mean it will get cut out when Wizard Of Oz is on again?

If it was a song called "thatcher Is a %&£!" then censorship can be justified. I didn't but it by the way

I know she didn't. She was one hard faced cow who put herself in the line of Prime minister.

Did she give, doubtful !

I might agree that the BBC shouldn't play DDTWID apart from the fact that they did play a new entry at #35 a 1979  song by punk band Notsensibles called I'm In Love With Margaret Thatcher which had been pushed by pro Thatcher campaigners. That I'm afraid is two faced and shows the BBC up for political bias again.

Don't know the song but I read elsewhere it was a disguised dig, similar to Part Of The Union

>> I'm In Love With Margaret Thatcher which had been pushed by pro Thatcher campaigners

They must be really hard up for any support if this is how they want the country to remember Margaret Thatcher:

not sensibles, I'm in Love With Margaret Thatcher
