I'm currently creating a page on Facebook too - to campaign for a new town hall - our current one is deffo over 40 years old too...  :)) :)) :))
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

The Town Hall's a fine building. Isn't it based on, hang on a mo, runs off to google to find the spelling . . .

Ah funnily enough that now appears to be an urban myth.
If you can get hold of a copy of this month's reflections magazine there's a letter in there from Kay Pearson who used to be the Mayor's secretary. She's visited Stormont and found that the architect of that building is in fact NOT the guy who did the Town Hall. She's thus apologising for misleading all the visitors to the town hall !!!!

This was designed by the same bloke who did Chesterfields town hall - looks similar ?
