Vacant retail premises
« on: March 05, 2013, 08:19:51 PM »
Hi

We are on the lookout for some vacant retail premises. Having traded from a small shop on Whittington Moor for the past 8 years we now find ourselves needed larger premises.

Ideally we are after something over 1000sqfeet, decent parking, busy flow of traffic, not in the town centre...

If you know of anything, please let me know stuart@pureparty.co.uk

Many Thanks

Stuart

Don't know about size of the place but what about blockbuster video on newbold road, great location and parking around the back. Can't believe no one has taken this yet with such big windows etc. it's forsale and lease.

Still on the lookout for some larger premises...

I did like the look/size of what was the Suite Outlet on Sheffield Road (next to the Spar/Postoffice) - however its a little rich for my tastes :(

How about the former CMC site (opposite the Somerset House Public House) in Calow? very busy main road, lots of parking, lots of passing traffic to & from Royal Hospital & Chesterfield. Only about 5 mins from town centre.

Are either of the old Gordon Lamb garages on Lockoford Lane any good?

Alas they are already being developed and again, over 3000sq feet is a wee bit large for a party shop..

The hunt continues, I am in discussions with three places. Ones a little complex, ones a little expensive, ones perhaps too close to town :)

All good fun

What about that coffee place that's shut on west bars? It's detached quite large and nobody's using it
Just up the road from world of icing. Get a cake for the party then the party gear from your place. Sounds good to me.

Over a year it's been closed. Am sure any income to the owner is better than none. Hit them with a low offer to start with. You never know unless you ask.

Its owned by acorn Christian ministries so more of an outreach than profitable business, not seen it available on property sites, been looking myself for a while for a startup business but knocked it on the head as everything is so expensive upfront, not much help or insentive from the council wanting £1500 up front for bond, legal fees and rent up front as well.

Is this the old square and Compass?
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

aye it's not easy....

I approached Bothams regarding the "Suit Centre" - next to the Spar on Sheffield Road, only to be told they couldn't help me as they were being replaced as letting agents and to watch for a new advertising board :)
