I can't text and walk at the same time.  Need specs for texting but I'm a danger to myself if I try walking around in them.

As a new twist on a similar tale, I was followed from Grassmoor by a young lady in a little Ford who got really close behind me, from my rear view mirror I could see her looking down at her lap, not looking at the road. Occasionally as we turned I could see she had her mobile in her hand - she was texting as she drove... She followed me into Hasland still looking down, and onto Storforth Lane where we stopped by at the traffic lights at the bridge. I watched her mess with the phone, then put her seat belt on!

She then fluffed up her hair , checked her face and we drove off. What a muppet!
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Fly's right. Its a wonder there aren't more vehicle/pedestrian accidents in Chesterfield. I despair at some of the driving I see.
Nuff said, I won't bang on about it (although I could), but a revisitation of the Highway Code would not come amiss now and again.
After all, folks like my Dad passed their test 50 plus years ago.
Can you tell me (anyone) last time you read the Highway Code?

Got a copy not 4 yards from where I'm sat at home. Not that I read it much  ;)
The nice people sent it in the pack that came with the driving course I went on.

That's another story  ;) But nothing to do with stupid driving or being on a mobile  :)

IMHO this woman was beyond stupid. Using a mobile phone is bad enough, at least you can keep youe eyes on the road, but texting with the phone in her lap, looking down? Beggars belief...

I used to be able to send texts 1 handed. My mind and thumb knew what buttons I was pressing.
I can't do it on my current phone, it takes 2 hands and eyes.

Therefore I don't text whilst driving. Couldn't do it if I wanted too.
