 NOT!!  :))

Should have seen the old drummer on the second week of hols - he threw his belt away cos the strap had had it. Got out another - and couldn't fasten it even on the first hole  :-?
He was jumping up and down whilst breathing in trying to fasten it  :))
Then--- he bent the buckle  :))  :))  :))

4 night stay in a chalet at Southport, booked it this morning. Doesn't look a bad little town. Any body been ?
Southport flower show is also on when we are there, so might give that a bash. Never been to anything like that before  :)

£120 each for 4 nights bed, breakfast and evening meal. We think that's a bargain  ;)

Just arrived back from our short stay in Liverpool.
We have really enjoyed it, - something different from the bucket and spade breaks - well hubby cries if i don't pack them  ;)
Quite a lot to see and do actually.
We stayed in the Novotel on Hanover Street, short walk from the docks and shops.
Weather has been great.
Will post a picy or two later.

Might have a day in Liverpool whilst were up that way. Our_Lass's never been.
The thinking is, if the weather's nice after our 4 nights in Southport, we might book into a Premier Lodge or similiar for a few nights to make it a weeks trip.

Sounds like a good plan Fly.
The museum of Liverpool of very interesting and free!
There was some interactive things and I pressed a button to hear some diary entries from a dock worker back in the 20's - 'I don't want their money (in reference to the money he would get for being out of work for a week) I just want an honest weeks work with an honest weeks pay' - sounds familiar that!
If you get to the 3rd floor it's music/ comedianne's of the past.
Also went on the yellow Duckmarine the driver and his assistant worked very hard at entertaining us as we were first taken on a sight seeing tour around Liverpool - then headed for the Albert Docks where we went into the water with a splash - as we were not wet - they both put on silly goggles and took out large water guns - yes we got wet  :)) The children loved it. The tour around the docks was also very interesting.
So much to do and see Fly.
Didn't get up to the viewing Tower but next time eh -----

We're thinking of Tunisia late September/early October  8)

SWMBO and me took my Sister to Scarborough for the day today - arrived there at 9.30 this morning and it was a lovely sunny day, but there was a cool breeze.

Only problem was that a seagull thought she looked such a good target sat in her wheelchair that it couldn't miss an opportunity and promptly sh1t on her!!!  :o

To top it all, it then went and found where I'd parked my car and sh1t on the roof of that too!  :o

Anyway she thoroughly enjoyed the day, which consisted of walking (or, in her case, riding) drinking coffee and eating  ;) :) 8)

On a separate theme I've never seen such bad driving coming back on the motorway, numerous drivers undertaking, lorry driver reading his (text message?) mobile, tailgating (not for much longer).
