Suppose it's too much to hope that the guilty will be charged?

Having skim read the report I suspect that if anything corporate manslaughter charges will be brought against South Yorks Police, the Ambulance service, Sheffield CC and Sheffield Wednesday. Not sure if the FA will be similarly charged.
Charges of Perverting the course of justice could be brought against various members of the South Yorks police up to and including the then Chief Constable.
You also have to question the involvement of West Midlands Police who allegedly didn't find the evidence of evidence tampering when they conducted their enquiries.
I'd also love to think that charges of some sort could be brought against that scumbag MacKenzie but I suspect he will hide behind the press agency reports.

Is anyone here surprised that Bettison lied and attempted to frame the Liverpool supporters for the tradgedy? I'm not.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Just seen on the news that South Yorkshire police's behaviour in the miners strike may be investigated too.

Much of it already has. Most of the cases surrounding Orgreave were dropped due to ahem 'inconsistencies' in the police evidence.

@ Kent Maggie has probably got away with all that and more in her time, as you say many think that politicians are  TOTAL LYING SH*T. -- They are!
She was probably one of the most ruthless, certainly in my time on this earth, I remember how my parents struggled as my dad worked for the coalboard and was on strike during that that time.
I as a young married women found myself helping to feed my parents and two youngers brothers.
All who were involved in this terrible cover up should be held responsible including Maggie - but I suspect 'she' will be absolved from it. Not too sure why she should though - unless at this stage in her life she isn't of sound mind. (lost touch about her TBH).
All this is of no help for the families who lost loved ones except for them to get justice for what happened all those years ago.,
rant over --- you know i have little time for politicians!!  >:(

In Maggie's case its playing with words.
Did the government change the contents of any documents? Probably not
Did they turn a blind eye to the fact that SYP were doing that? Probably yes

Not Seen it, The Fact that Sheffield Wednesday Did not Have Safety certificate, Sheffield Council Did Not Check, or let it lapse,
The FA Allowed Sheffield Wednesday to Operate Without a Safety Certificate Says it ALL.
To CAGE People In Is NOT HUMANE
