Hillsborough families call for official apology
« on: September 07, 2012, 07:10:40 PM »
Report published next week is expected to reveal widespread failures by South Yorkshire police over 1989 disaster

"The families, who have protested for years at the way legal processes were conducted after the disaster, expect the report to show conclusively that police refused to accept responsibility for the disaster and instead falsely claimed drunk and ticketless supporters were to blame."

About time too! And I'd like to see the The Sun newspaper add their apology for the appalling lies they put out too.

The *** newspaper have already printed an apology many years ago but the scumbag editor McKenzie has subsequently claimed that he was ordered to do it by Murdoch for business reasons rather than it being a genuine apology.

Perhaps because your opinion of Murdoch is at the same level as a rattlesnakes stomach?

Just for clarity I'm not sure why the film doesn't make it clear but Margaret Aspinall the 'mum' featured in the programme is also the chair of the Hillsborough Family Support Group.

As already posted on Facebook
As far as real Liverpool fans are concerned todays report changes nothing. We KNEW the police had lied, We KNEW the press had perpetuated those lies, we KNEW the coroner was wrong to make 3.15 the cut off point for evidence and finally and most important we KNEW the fans were not to blame. The ONLY thing that this report changes is that now the authorities have the ammunition to prosecute people like Duckinfield, Murray, Bettison and Mackenzie. Only if this happens will this report change anything.

Agree with you Jon - they should go after the guilty and prosecute them.

Added: You can include Boris Johnson in that list.

Just seen this under the headline "The front page The Sun should run tomorrow"

I reckon that about sums it up

Hat tip to Patrick.

Having read the reactions to the released documents, NOTHING has been said about
the SO CALLED SAFETY CERTIFICATE Issued, WHO issued it, and more importantly WHY.
Those PENS should NEVER have been There, without the proper Planning of entrances and Exits
being in Place.
Also, I read that they want to prosecute those that lied, mislead everybody and contributed to
those deaths.... too right, but what about Thatcher, is she going to be prosecuted, is she going
to be stripped of her title, HAS she APOLOGISED, is she going to admit that that those deaths
were wrong, or that she USED those findings to ATTACK football and brought in all seater stadiums, and
how much money was wasted, in fact has ANY of that GOD DAMNED Government at that time SAID anything
towards how wrong they were.
The Simple ANSWER IS NO.
Then They Wonder Why the ordinary People of this Country Think Politicians are TOTAL LYING SH*T.

Stolen from FaceBook. Patrick lol

Interesting read here.

There's a current running theme appearing here. IMHO :-(

EDIT: Yes I notice there's been new posts, but I didn't sit here for 1/2 hour, not to post my reply.
Which incidentally blends with the other posts.
