Roadworks - AGAIN?!
« on: April 02, 2012, 06:42:15 PM »
Walked into town this morning and, approaching t'old football ground, I noticed that not only was Foljambe Road closed again - but so was Rutland Road!

Also the Saltergate traffic lights were switched off, and had been superceded by a set of temporary traffic lights at the end of Tennyson Ave (against the water main roadworks).

Traffic from West Bars roundabout had to either go up Foljambe Rd or Rutland Rd and then follow the diversions onto Saltergate via Rose Hill West.

It was a nightmare!  >:(

You want to try living at the top of Foljambe Road... This last year or so has been a farce...  >:(
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

I'm glad I'm not at work this week.
Seems like the usual nightmare on the roads.
Nice to have a week off driving and still get paid.
I expect it will be there when i go back though.

Does ANY  company actually pay double time for Sunday working these days.
I used to get double time for Sundays (didn't work many though  ;)) and time and half for Saturdays.
