Over the past couple of weeks on the news, plus in the wife's magazines literally every week stories of bodged cosmetic surgery operations performed in Turkey.
I have zero sympathy for these women mainly because most of them have nothing wrong with them they are just spending thousands seeking perfection possibly because of a lack of self esteem they are too busy worrying what other people think of them instead of being happy with who they are. Allegedly they visit Turkey and usually end up being "butchered" and end up in a worse state {sometimes at deaths door} and then come home where the N.H.S. has to give up it's time, resources and money to try and put them back together.
Yes there is a need for cosmetic surgery, and yes it should be free on the N.H.S. but that should be for cases like people with deformities, burn victims and the like not for vain women wanting a butt lift or needles sticking in their faces. Any woman going abroad for this type of procedure should be made to take out extra insurance and also inform the authorities WHY they are going.
This insurance would cover suing the foreign clinic concerned, should there be a problem, and pay either the N.H.S. or a private clinic here to put things right. Better still don't go at all.
