Any Barley Wine fans on here often nicknamed Yorkshire Stingo?
Ex Newbold ex Arbourthorne, Sheffield now sunny Dronfield.

I wouldn't call myself a 'fan' but I have had it but many years ago back in the 70's, and yes I did like it. It wasn't what I expected though, I think it was the 'wine' in the name.

It was very potent.

Never heard the term Yorkshire Stingo that, where does that originate from - and 'don't ' say Yorkshire  ;D

Are you a fan of the drink? It's an ok drink stingo means strong drink in Yorkshire slang.

Well Christmas is coming so it's to be expected I suppose . - don't forget we have a Christmas drink on December 29th in town. You might be a 'newish newbie' but will still be made welcome  :)

Thanks for the invite but I now live at Sheffield , upper Abourthorne area. It's awkward to get Chesterfield at nigh time which I'm guessing you will be having your do.
