I've read loads of internet forums over the years, and at times people moan about government.

From my experience, you get out of life what you put in.  Don't expect things on a platter if you sit on your backside doing nothing.  Most people without a job get by without great hardship.  Please don't moan about life's ups and downs unless you have a valid reason!

I think people have possibly moaned more about this government than any I remember, mainly due to the drastic cuts they have implemented.
I agree with you to a certain extent that we get out of life what we put in, only for some, life can deal out a rotten card which can make life very challenging.
I'm never sure if the people who are homeless are there from choice or circumstances but I thought that people who were homeless were offered some kind of accommodation - maybe I was wrong?
Never having been without work I can't comment on whether people suffer great hardship or not - however we seem to have a growing number of food banks around the UK - is this because of the lack of work around - or people having their benefits cut or stopped?

Just wait until you are in your 70s and you cant feed yourself, cook for yourself, dress yourself, shop for yourself, go to the lav by yourself or even fill in the acres of paperwork the government want you to fill in.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Is this a prediction or a fact, as I just can't see this happening?

We've just gone through that with my my father in law. It was a nightmare.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Same here, first with hubbies mum, then my parents.
It was a battle to get help especially with my mum as social care seemed to think I could do it all even though I was working.
It took my two brothers and I to look after mum ( and they both worked as well ).
Eventually I told social care we could no longer keep up mums care and she would need a care home!!
They soon put in morning and lunch time support to help us out!
Currently helping an elderly uncle who has no family!

Problem is there's little money in the pot for social care and people are being left to go into crisis before help is given.
Not good - and if it's right what I hear things will get tighter, too much in cut backs for a quick fix to the UK's problems.
