Train Drivers Strike - now what happens?
« on: May 29, 2015, 12:28:02 PM »
I booked tickets for us both awhile ago online - first class to York return -
It seems they are going to strike.
Not sure what to do about this - do we sit and wait to hear from the railway?

I'd be tempted to contact them first.
They might not contact you, then say the problem was not their fault later  ::)

Had an email last night Fly, advising me of the pending strike.
We have been offered two options if the strike is immanent - have a refund or go two days before we previously booked for.

I think hubbies thinking of going two days before but that depends on the hotel being able to have the room vacant. I however am not sure I want to go two days before as it's not really that convenient.

It's still under discussion here  ;)

Yes heard it on the news - thanks fly.
We had decided to wait until Tuesday before asking for a refund on the outward journey.
I really didn't want to go on Wednesday, just not that convenient TBH.

Hope it warms up a bit  ::)
