Wingerworth Sculpture
« on: May 21, 2015, 08:07:00 PM »
Sculptures seem to be the new in thing to have.
Wingerworth residents are to put their ideas forward on this.
I know we have members from Wingerworth and wondered if they know what idea's are being put forward, or indeed if any members have something in mind which they would like to see?

Its going to be a talking statue it will say' bygone from the land of keeping up with the Jones and penny millions bygone' or it could be a statue of a group of locals protesting about a useful development that actually benefits the village.  :)) or best of all a statue of me posing naked with my stunning good looks  >:

The latter one sounds interesting niche  ;) will you be flexing your muscles - or maybe sparrows knee caps.  ;D

There's me thinking all the Greek Gods were entombed obviously not!!

It's got me wondering what I would choose where it our village having a sculpture.

Wingerworth in my younger days was a place we could walk to and picnic by the Lido or walk through the woods picking Blue Bells. The Lido and other ponds have been used for fishing as long as I can remember - so maybe a Greek God holding a big fish in his hand
