Our_Lass was speaking to a customer(local Whit resident). He says the work will be taking place soon, it's going to take 8-10 months to complete. Even the underpasses(footways) are being filled in. New road crossings are to be built for pedestrians.
Perhaps Slacker can supply a bit more info  (y)

Good!!
Slight deviation but is the old Tesco site used as an over spill for the Proact football parking?
I drove past Saturday afternoon and there were an awful lot of cars parked around there

The car park at the stadium is for paid up permit holders only.
Google didn't come up with many positive results either.
I'm pretty sure it is used for parking on match days. Any one ??

Personally I still think they should drop the speed limit to 30 on the roundabout and put speed camera's on the  two A61 approaches.

I thought it had said after Christmas this year the last time I read about it.
The reason I ask is because one day last week I was in the left lane, indicating to turn left to Newbold.
A car came straight across from the right inside lane and was going to Newbold also.
Had I been going onto the Dronfield bypass the car would have smacked me in the side of the car.
Frightening thing was, I put on my brakes and pressed my horn  ( could have ended up with a shunt up the back end of the car had something been at the back of me )- the driver hadn't even SEEN me  :-?

Maybe Slacker will know something

Hence my post about the speed limit OC  ;)
You don't need to be pressing your horn at people speeding with the possibility of shunting your back end  C:-)
Sorry. Getting my coat. Is the exit this way --->   Or that  <----  (y)

I was using my horn to alert the stupid driver to the fact that they were cutting me up Fly - as they had no idea I was there! not to anyone who may have been at the back of me.
