Host Families needed for Spanish Students 26th June
« on: June 01, 2014, 10:26:04 AM »
Hi there,

My name is Linda Baldwin and I am the Co-ordinator for the Chesterfield Centre, a Spanish Language school. I am looking for host families for some of the group arriving on the 26th June for 3 weeks. They will be going to school each morning at Tapton House and will be using a bus pass to make their own way there and back at the end of the day. They will also be going out on trips each Saturday and will spend Sundays with their Host Family. The Chesterfield Centre will contribute a total payment of £360.00 towards their stay for the 3 weeks (£120 per week)
If you are interested in helping out please reply to this post leaving your phone number so I can contact you and arrange to visit you to tell you more. Or, you can call me on 07824827134 or email me at linda@thechesterfieldcentre.co.uk.

Thank you for reading this post.

Hi Linda, welcome to chesterfieldonline  ;)
Work commitments and my lack of the Spanish language prevent me from being any help sadly.

I remember many many years ago as a young teenager, think I'd be about 14,
my younger sister took part in a student exchange program at Moorfield Hall (Bolsover School).
We had a french girl stay with our family for 3 week. We even went to the east coast for a week, probably Skeggy  ;D.
It must have been very difficult for the french girl, she was about12 and didn't speak a word of english.
My sister had a much easier time in France, she was prety good at French even at that age.

All the best in finding 'homes' for the students  :)
