1817 Pentrich Revolution, I didn't know about this.

I'm now on another school run to Derby. On route, at Buckland Hollow, there's this at the roadside.

Close up of the plaque.
"Near here was Widow Hepworth's farm where a servant was shot dead"

I did a quick google and found this Wiki reference. I found it quite interesting  :)

Here's a link to the Amber Valley Council website. They have a similiar story online.

Nice find Fly - just read the Wikipedia account.

Not much changes...
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

What, like this bit LOL

There was no police force at that time. Order was maintained by the various semi-private armies such as the yeomanry, while intelligence was gathered by the Home Secretary, Lord Sidmouth, from a network formed of local magistrates and paid informers

Saw another plaque yesterday. Hadn't seen it before. Probably been there since I saw the last one.

My new escort on the new transportation contract is very observant.
Plus I've only been doing this contract for the last six month.
I'm bound to see things travelling a new route day in day out.
