............ not if my recent experience is anything to go by!
I recently purchased a sidewinder roller blind from Wilkos for the kitchen window. Unfortunately the winder chain isn't long enough for me to reach comfortably as the window top is high and is behind a worktop - so I thought I would replace it with a longer length.
Over xmas/new year period I went to the only shop in town that I could think would sell this item (Etienne blinds) but it was shut until last Saturday. I decided to order one off eBay, but they cocked the order up and sent the wrong size (gap between the balls is critical
) so, as by this time the shop was open, I gave them a call.
I couldn't have been met by a more apathetic and unhelpful person! I realise that it was only a 2 metre length of cord I wanted and it wouldn't greatly increase his turnover or profit, but, if you are in business you should provide good - if not excellent - customer service to everyone regardless.
I tried giving him the ball diameter and gap between the balls - stop sniggering
- but he didn't want to know. I asked him if he stocked this item and he replied that he thought he had some lying around but couldn't put his hand on it - you're sniggering again! -I was astounded at his attitude and promptly ended the call.
Guess who won't be going there again?
