Bank Holiday Weekend
« on: August 21, 2013, 06:52:47 PM »
I nearly missed it!
Didn't realise until yesterday it was this coming weekend.
What's going on around our area over the weekend.
We have no plans as yet - has anyone else got exciting things to share about what to do/where to go please  8)

Grouse

Sunday afternoon

Mine's a pint of Fosters, thanks.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Will try to make it to the Grouse but disappointed that it's Sunday not Monday. Some of the same bands are at Real Time on Monday but presume that's indoor.
Some bands on at The Trumpeter on Saturday

@OC

The Grouse is on Brampton, opposite the new shops by the new flats.

@Slacker

Yep, it's a real pain them moving it to Sunday - my missus kept BH Monday free and committed us to other arrangements on the Sunday... Not that that will stop me going.

The problem is that these pub music fests are growing in number every year, probably as a result of the state that pubs are in financially. This will inevitably mean a drop in quality as so many venues compete for the small audience that like live rock music.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.
