Being on the border of two water authorities Chesterfield and a small amount of the surrounding area gets water from Severn Trent and has waste water and sewage taken away by Yorkshire.
Problem with this is that ST charges the higher price for supply and YW charger the higher for disposal.
We therefore pay higher water bills than most of the midlands and north.
As we cannot shop around like we do with the other utilities we are stuck.
It would be fairer if we just paid Severn Trent prices and they settled the difference with YW.
