Top Gear BBC2 and UK V Germany
« on: August 05, 2013, 08:40:54 AM »
Apparently Mr Clarkson is fuming this morning about what he saw as a crass piece of scheduling last night.
From what I can gather from listening to Chris Evans this morning the last 15 minutes of Top Gear was a classic homage to everything great about the british motor industry from things like Jaguar, Routemaster buses and Range Rover.
Evans was imploring anyone who hadn't seen it to either get on IPlayer or watch tonights repeat as he claims it was one of the best things Top Gear had ever done, so much so that people were speculating that it was the final ever show.
Unfortunately straight after BBC2 scheduled a programme comparing the decline of the british industry compared to the success of that in Germany.

Generally, this series of TG has been a bit stale IMHO, however, last nights wasn't bad. It made you realise that a lot of automotive manufacturing is still done in the UK, and still regarded as the finest in the world. Worth a watch. :)
I have not watched the other programme yet - might do later.

Somebody at BBC2 should get their arse kicked.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Hmm, I've now watched the UK V Germany one.
I cant understand for the life of me why the BBC would show these back to back.
Planning f@@k up on a massive scale I'd say :-?
