Derbyshires activities this year for the disabled
« on: June 06, 2013, 05:56:24 PM »
A few years ago I was a regular at the Summer Gold at Lea Green, I used to go there at least 3 days during the five it ran - then it stopped.

I used to go with children - but met up with adults I knew who were members of Mencap (now Ability) who I knew - good to see old friends.

Not sure how long it has been running again but see the link for activities at Lea Green for both adults and children.

If this is anything like it used to be it is a fantastic day.

Good to hear Derbyshire are still enabling people with disabilities  to have the same experiences as the more able.

Obviously the job I do and this sort of activity go partly hand in hand.
Transport will be needed for those taking part. That's where we come in.
Also don't mind DCC taking part of my Council Tax to fund such events  :)
