50 years of letterboxes

Prompted by the recent 50th anniversary of Loundsley Green and the incoming workforce it reminded me that I've been posting stuff through people's doors or 50 years.
1963: I remember going leafleting with my parents to the newly occupied estate when my mother worked for a carpet agency and taking turns to post them.
1971-3: Paper round.
1975: Christmas job with the post office
1981 & 91: Worked on Nation Census
Early nineties: Publicity for events for Children's Heart Surgery Unit
1994 to now: Political leaflets
Also occasionally dropping letters in for people to keep their cars out of the way for roadworks
And only one dog bite that drew blood so not too bad going

Have you ever had your fingers nipped through a letter box or a nip on the leg or butt on the paths of homes Slacker?

Worst one was fingers. Not an unfriendly dog, think I just startled it. Owners need to act if dogs are prone to attacking what comes through the letterbox. I now use a spatula (as do most of us) to push small leaflets through.
