Now that the Fire Station on Whit Moor has gone, can any of you old farts remember where the old Fire Station used to be?

Whit Moor - You just said it.  Thats where the old fire station were - it`s not there any longer !!!

It was next to the police station on New Beetwell Street - there's a picture on Picture the Past, here:

Didn't realise the old fire station was still on Beetwell St in the 1970's.  If my memory serves me right, the new station was built in the late 1950's.  Was there an overlap?   ::)

Actually all of you are right. (except perhaps one).
The original station was at the corner of Tontine Road and Beetwell Street, then moved to the big building in the photos, then moved to Whit Moor.
