Let me tell you a story about a ex miner.
« on: March 16, 2016, 04:40:16 PM »
With David Cameron war on the disabled in full flow I knew an ex servicemen who frought in Iraq and Afghanistan who was crippled during his service to his country he was brave unlike the cowards who run this country who hide behind their fancy suits . During the debate to close Remploy it was clear war had been declared on the most valuable in society - the disabled. Since the fall of the Third Reich in 1945 their never has been such insult on the most valuable in society well the tax breaks have to come off someone- the disabled . During the protest to save Remploy from clouser a ex miner matched with them a man who fully understand the vile sick ideology of Tory thinking after all 1984/85 stike should have brought home the impact of far right rule the ever thing that Churchill hoped to keep away from our shores during World War Two . Just today IV seen a lady who thought the cuts to sick and disabled was a good laugh  clearly the brain washing as worked wonders.

Ahh the Miners strike.

Hard times for the Miners, a controversial topic whenever it's brought up.
It brings hate to many people's minds who didn't like Thatcher.

I was married and my hubby not a Miner, but it affected my parents ( Dad was out with the Miners ) and two brothers who one just working and the other at school.

I have flash backs of the village people in our village going across the fields to what used to be a coal tip trying to collect coal cobbles for their fires/ hot water.

Hard times!
