Packing in the ciggies...
« on: May 17, 2015, 05:18:00 PM »
Having smoked for a large number of years, I am now on day four of the cure...  :o

I had a date last Wednesday with an acupuncture clinic in West Yorkshire and had a "stich" put in my ear...

So far 100% no ciggies... But feeling a bit tense from time to time...

I hope I am as successful as Fly, if only for the financial rewards...

Wish me luck!  :)
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Well done Pete, keep up the good work.  (y)
How does the 'stitch' work.

I know someone who went to an hypnotist to stop smoking and that worked

Couple more days and it will be a week mate. Respect (y)

Is the purpose of the stitch to hold the roll up in place behind your ear?   ;)

Seriously, well done Pete.    It's an extremely difficult thing to do.

I smoked my last ciggie 16 months ago but I've relied very heavily on the electric version since then.

Well done for having th ecourage to give up.
Been on at MIL to give up for years but I don't think it will happen sadly.
I for one have never smoked, tried it on numerous occasions but just didn't like it at all.
But for people such as yourselves that have smoked for many years to then decide enough is enough I have great respect for. Keep it up!!

Now on week 6 - not had a ciggie for well over a month, nor had a craving for one.

I used to take the piss out of acupuncture and all that tree hugging philosophy... But not now. It just worked.

And, as I was on 40 a day, guess how much money I'm saving... :)

Maybe I'll get a Les Paul after all.  (y)

Wow yes well done Pete and Aitch as well.
Did you use acupuncture to help you stop Pete? Didn't know it could be used for that if you did.
