Weekend In York
« on: June 08, 2015, 08:35:31 PM »
Hubby and I have just enjoyed the weekend in York.
Not having been in the Jorvic Center for a number of years we decided to give it a go.
They have changed it, we didn't think it was as long as before - but could be wrong.
We loved the way the suspended car could swivel to face some of the scenes, the smells seemed to have been taken away as well.

Wheelchair Access
As we got off our car we noticed a metal ramp which said wheelchair users on it.
So we hung around a while to see how it was used.
Young boy came along in his wheelchair and was pushed onto the ramp.
Accessible car came, and the youngster was pushed onto the front of a car whilst on the ramp.
Sides up - and away they went.
Brilliant!!

The chocolate Museum - we saw it there last year but didn't bother going in.
This year we decided to give it a go.
It was actually quite interesting - and we got to taste chocolate on the way around.
Near the end - well what can I say - I felt as if I was on Brendan's Coach Trip as we were able to make and design our own chocolate lollipops!!!
Right at the end we were shown how the individual chocolates were made before going out to the various shops.

Sadly the Art Gallery is still under refurbishment so we didn't get to go inside - maybe next time.

Anyone else got a favourite place they like to visit if they get the chance?
