Tesco at it again !
« on: May 11, 2015, 10:54:49 PM »
It seems like the Tesco dirty tricks department is back in full swing again !

A few months ago, Tesco reassured Crispin customers that they weren't taking the pub.
Now.. just as everyone thought that the crispin was safe,.. it  looks like they are going to take it anyway ! :o
Can we ever trust lying Tesco again ? >:(

Yes It will be a sad day for the Owners really, Ben (landlord) has put all of his hardwork at that place, sometimes not seeing his family for a couple of days as his Wife doesn#t work there but looks after the kids.
Tesco just like to ruin everything really...they need more competition

It's not actually saying it 'is' Tesco - just presuming?

That's what I was thinking niche, they say speculate to accumulate, but Tesco have suffered some huge losses.
I would have thought they need to concentrate on building up what they have in regards to customers going back.

I have no sympathy for Tesco at all. They screw their suppliers to the point of bankruptcy and they pay menial wages. If they can't show a profit doing that, then the problem is with management - ie they're crap.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

I understood that thy had stopped all new developments, quite the opposite in fact, they were closing some stores for example the one at Manor Top in Sheffield. The Serious Fraud Squad are investigating them regarding their vastly inflated recent profit forecasts, and many of their overseas investors are suing them regarding their subsequent losses. Therefore Tesco can't set any money aside for these projects - they don't know how much they are set to lose in fines.
I reckon they will close the Somerset - Enterprise Inns have put someone in charge with 30 yrs experience - of what though I'm not sure.
The pub is ticking over at best, because they seem unwilling to start doing food again, and a couple off staff have been finished.
Doesn't look good either way :(

:(    So sad to see the Crispin closing.  I love the pub and Ben has been a first class host.  Shame that Enterprise haven't valued him
or the customers.
