Derby Road Housing Development
« on: April 28, 2015, 06:08:31 PM »
Has anyone seen the plans for this development.
Never quite seen anything like this being done with huge hill tops and what looks like quarries being made???

Something like this with about 500 houses.
All the traffic to use Derby Rd and the new roundabout !!

I can see it being a nightmare for traffic. It is constant all day  into town on the A61 just think what it will be like when those houses are built.
We have a friend who lives in Clay Cross and if we visit him we come back either through North Wingfield and Grassmoor or go through Wingerworth,Grangewood and up Foljambe Road to Newbold.

Looking at it whilst waiting for the lights to change there are two flat pieces of land with a deep hole between them??
Hence my 'quarrie' remark

Looks to me as though they are 'Burying the Burnt Treated Soil'.
Noticed this Morning, that there appeared to be 'black Mounds' in
the Bottom.

Interesting take on what they are doing Kent - why would they want to dig such a large deep chunk of earth out to do that?
The cambers also gone now ( going into town) - it really put the car to one side going over it.
