I am posting this to tell you that if you are in the following situation you will be able to reduce your tax bill by over £200 in the next tax year.
I you are over 65 years of age and you pay tax at the standard rate and your partners income is below the tax threshold of £10600 you can transfer £1060 allowance to your tax paying partner.The non tax payer has to make the application.
There is nothing out yet to tell you how to apply to HMRC but it should not be too long but it will be backdated if it is not implemented before April.
