Has work started on the new proposed Leisure Centre?
Drove past today and noticed diggers a bit higher up from where the original one is.

Yes, I heard it on PeakFM. Should be open in 2016, which seems a long time away, wonder if they meant 2015.
They were removing the gates from the entrance when I passed yesterday.

No, it's 2016 - going to be a long build.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Are they keeping it open then and doing it in sections?

The new one is being built where you saw the diggers OC, That's the Annexe that we all keep mentioning. The old leisure centre will shut when the new one has been built.  ::)
