Lottery dilema LOL
« on: June 28, 2014, 08:15:05 PM »
Ok, so i've had my 3 numbers come up twice on the Irish lottery in 4 years. £611 each time.

Done a bit of research today, considered moving some numbers we play on the Health Lottery to elsewhere.
We've split the 5 numbers we used to put on it, and added a number to make two 3's.
Signed up for an online Bet Fred account and put these two 3's on seperate treble bets on the National 'UK' lottery.
If either set of 3 come up, it's £725. That's £100 more than the 3 numbers on the Irish Lotto we currently play.

Dilema, is getting 3 numbers out of 49 worth the extra £100 win,
instead of 3 numbers out of 45 which has slightly better odds ?

Basicaly OC, pick 3 numbers. Pay a pound. If your 3 numbers come out, you win  :)
Different bookies and lotteries pay different amounts.
I just wondered if people had an opinion.

Looks like Bet Fred Online pays a better payout, but uses more numbers which lower your chances of winning.
Hope that's a bit more understandable LOL  ;)

That's the crux OC, if the odds are better, the prize money drops  :-X
