St Georges Day Parade
« on: April 29, 2014, 08:23:29 AM »
I was walking into town on Sunday and the area around the town hall was full of scouts (is that what they call them these days?) getting ready for the St Georges Day Parade.

Nice to see these old traditions haven't died out.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

My 'suited and booted' days are over so instead I put a vase of red roses in our front window in St George's Day but I for years I wore a rose in my button hole - not the same one of course...  :D

I have still have one (now brown) red rose bud given to me by my late partner back in 1988/89.
 It's still perfectly intact.
He past away in 1992  :(
