My son recently dug this bottle up from his garden. It is complete and in very good condition but I cannot find any information on the company. can anyone enlighten me as to the company and its history for my young grandson. thanks.

P.S. It still has some of the contents in it which still smells sweet and of lemonade after all these years.

J.J.Claytons mineral water factory was down Foundry street, they used to work with the large doors open and you could stand and watch the bottles going round on the conveyer belts.

Interesting memory Bill, my uncle lived in Brampton and tells me so much about what it was like - he's 83 now.

My grandmother lived immediately next door to the factory at no. 68 and used to sell their 'pop' from the kitchen door. They made all the usual flavours but my favourite was one called 'ice cream soda'
That was in the days when you used to get 3d when you returned the empty bottle

Claytons was the next to the last building then came the adult school and then the junction with Thompson street, opposite Claytons was Jackie Johnson's farm yard, we used to go in there to look at the goldfish in his duck pond.

Bill my uncle was having an 'off day' yesterday and I couldn't get him focused.
He was back 'in the pit and working at the maypole days' of his youth, storied I know word for word.
