Certainly not for their 'tipping' for service  ;)
I think the British have for many years been welcomed as a favourite in other countries I would say the majority are quiet and well mannered when out, the Scottish are not always so welcome - reason for this is they have a reputation for being too loud and drunk.  ^-^

Sorry old cruser but British Are the worst behaved and the rudest. They made no effort to speak the local language and they are tight-fisted tippers.

You're not wrong. I have several English friends who have lived in France for ten years or more. Though France is grateful to us as a nation, the French really dislike the behaviour of the English; their lack of respect, bad manners, ill behaved children. A friend says the French have a phrase when dealing with an unruly child, it translates as "Are your parents English...?" i.e. bad behaviour is a result of English parenting. Having watched English families in French supermarkets (especially the booze aisles) I'm not surprised.

Mmmm, well now, had you been 'trapped' on the ship earlier this year which had an abundance of Europeans and Americans who all talk really loudly and just 'take over' you may see a different side.
Thay had no thought for anyone else and if one wanted a quiet read or conversation - tough!

As for the children, I wouldn't disagree with that but european children can be just as out of control as you say - it's the poor parenting.

Tipping - we have had that one and the British are not the best I'll grant you that.
Language - I would agree with that as well, we as a nation are rubbish at being bothered to speak the language of the country we are in and expect the people there - to be able to speak English - and many do which shows us up!

I think Espana loves us really - i just wish he/she would get rid of that bloody cow picture  ;D  ;)

ps
stop swearing Mr Fly by night  ;)

You may have been but in my experience it's true that we tend to leave our manners behind (if we had any) once we cross the English Channel.
