My dad came home smelling of the sweets as well. It is true that smell you couldn't get rid of.

I was born in chesterfield and went to Brampton junior school manor and Newbold green. At the age of 13 me and my dad my mum and my brother moved to the north east of England😭. I miss my home town everyday and I miss my friends who still live there. I do hope to move back and very soon. I'm chesterfield born and I'm chesterfield bred I'll be chesterfield till the day I am dead. Hello to everyone in chesterfield.

There is much worse places than chesterfield. At least you have shops that you can walk to. I was born in chesterfield but moved when I was 13 with my family. The seaside town where we are now minus my dad it has absolutely nothing in the way of shops. It's everything you want you are on busses to travel to places then you spend most of your money on bus fares, give me chesterfield any day over some stupid seaside town

Expensive shop but shame it's gone. Was a part of chesterfield for so long,. I was just down in chesterfield the other week (born and bred chesterfield till I die moved away at 13 dad's choice) but was hearing what people want the old shop to be a few things that would be useful one a hotel it's big enough and chesterfield needs some more. Old co-op is great to stay in always reminds me of the Santa and toys. Have some great memories of chesterfield. Hope to move back soon.

My dad worked at trebor and Cadbury. Me and my brother went round the factory when we were kids, we were told we could try any of the sweets but I was to scared to take any. My brother had loads stuffed in his pocket. We were sat in my dad's office for ages. My dad used to bring home the white carrier bags with chocolate limes and mints in and other sweets.
