Hi All,
my late Dad was drummer with The Harmonists with Gladys Hay; she was the daughter of comedian Will Hay. I've been trying to compile a list of their engagements from the British Newspaper Archive for his Facebook page.
A brief entry from the Derbyshire Times and Chesterfield Herald for 12 December 1941, shows them playing at "The Hippodrome" for week commencing 15 December 1941. Can anyone please clarify whether this was the Hippdrome Derby, or the Hippodrome Chesterfield? I'd be most grateful for any help.
