Hello Pete,
I played in the Bradbury Hall for a couple of weddings, that would have been around 1963-ish. The dance floor was horrendous, with knots in it like the Himalayas. I also lived almost directly across the road (with my parents) for probably five years or so in the mid-late '60's. Having not lived in Chesterfield for thirty years, and being a very infrequent visitor, I was totally gobsmacked to learn (just now) that it's not there anymore.

Thank you for the opportunities to look at the pics, Pete, it's a valuable job you do. On this occasion I might have preferred to remain in the dark, I suppose. Many thanks again.

Hello Fly,
I'm very grateful for that memory jogging blog; I wrote it. It was quite a while ago and I'd forgotten it completely. That was a nice update from Pete, also, regarding the (much) later epics of the bandstand.
The 'British Racing Green' did come out a lot like 'Yuk Mould Fungus'. Such are the joys of the internet (especially for those of us who aren't much cop with it.)
Many thanks.

Re: the above photo of Steve White and the Zeros... it was actually 1964. Apologies.

The Queen's Park bandstand after being moved. Whit weekend 1963 if memory serves.
