Dave, I've been to Screwfix just the once, because I asked for screw size info., gauge etc., I left empty handed. Found the experience a total wasted effort.

bransoj, Yeah, you're right, they do seen to carry stock larger stores haven't heard of, Like B&Q & dome-head screws.

Idiots on the road.  Well, I have it straight from the horses' mouth as to the reason why idiots don't use dipped-headlights in dense fog.  "It's not DARK, I DON'T NEED LIGHTS ON!"  That idiot lives near me, Ive been considering moving home since.

Hi, on retiring at 65, my first DCC Tax Bill was £10.00 per month.  From the following April, I was advised that the amount I must pay for that financial year had (only) increased by 2% to £11.00 per month.  I pointed-out that their figures would be correct only if Roman Numerals were employed.

B&Q; "You can do it, if you B&Q it." As long as you don't need dome-head screws, and a host of other common DIY sundries.

Old Chesterfield / OLD Spa Lane
« on: November 24, 2015, 08:02:14 PM »
Hi Everyone
I was born in Spa Lane in late 1944, went to Hipper Street School, Ms Jones was the then Headteacher.  I have searched in what must be approaching every on-line site that possesses the remotest interest in Chesterfield, for photographs of Spa Lane (as I once knew it) without any success. I would dearly like to be advised as to where, and how, I can purchase the pictures I desire.
Thank you for reading my post.
